Keeping the Memories

Bachelor gowns

During graduation ceremonies, academic degrees are conferred to graduates. During this ceremony, friends and families of the graduate celebrate the academic achievements of their loved ones. The importance of this occasion is usually signified by among other things, the unique dress code of the graduates and the faculty. The degrees are usually conferred upon the graduates by a presiding officer either en masse or individually and they are usually held in distinctive certificate holders. The use of certificate holders is a grand way of showing off the graduation certificate while keeping it safe. The certificate holder can come inclusive of a stand to enhance its display.

Customized certificate holders may be engraved with the name of the university as well as that of the student. This is quite a fancy means of ensuring that the ceremony is remembered by the graduate forever. Before ordering certificate holders, it is important to keep in mind that their design is usually dependent on the dimensions of the documents they will be holding. Taking a look at a sample gallery of certificate holders may be useful in getting ideas regarding designing custom items. The certificate holder may be foil stamped, foil embossed or consist of a logo, borders or lettering.

Health tips – diabetes information

Diabetes is fast spreading disease of the third generation and has already affected possibly millions of people worldwide and taken God knows how many lives. The only efficient and actually working method to prevention or treatment of any disease is timely education, and diabetes is no exception. Unless we are equipped with the right diabetes information, we can not prevent ourselves from it nor can we prolong our life in case we happen to get infected by the same. Diabetes is basically a metabolism disorder characterized by high levels of blood sugar due to lack of hormone insulin. It affects all ages and both genders. Some people are more prone to this disease than others due to their medical family history.

Right spreading of diabetes information is essential so that this disease is unable to take a toll of a very large number of victims. If we practice right dietary habits and follow a regular health plan which includes a good amount of exercise, it is unlikely that diabetes will be able to go anything at all to us. Failing to maintain these standards especially for those who are at a risk of this disease can cause some serious complications and that is exactly what we plan to combat by spreading diabetes information!

Registering a Birth in Scotland

Who Can Register A Birth?

The child’s mother or father should register the birth within 21 days. However, a father who is not married to the child’s
mother can only register a birth and be named on the birth certificate as the father if:

  • he jointly signs the register with the mother, or
  • a court has declared that he is the father, or
  • the mother and he jointly sign a declaration available from
    the Registrar.

If the child’s mother and father are unable to register the
birth for reasons of incapacity, the following can register the
baby’s birth:

  • any person present at the birth, or
  • anybody living in the premises where the birth took
    place, or
  • a relative of the mother or father (if they are married), or
  • any person having legal charge of the baby.

Where Do You Register A Birth?

The baby’s birth should be registered either in the
district where the birth took place, or the district where
the mother permanently lives. Ask at the hospital for the
address of the local registrar, or check the telephone
directory under “Registration of Births, Marriages and
Deaths”.

What Evidence Do I Need To Provide?

The registrar will require:

  • the baby’s parents’ marriage certificate, and
  • the card given to you by the hospital.

If either of these documents are not available, go to
the registrar anyway. Do not wait longer than the 21
days required by law.
