Oxygenation Is Good for Your Health
One very simple way to keep the body cleansed, nourished and disease-free is to oxygenize your body every day. I’m talking about a breathing technique in which you fill your lungs with wholesome oxygen. Deep diaphragmic breathing can aid your body’s normal detoxification processes?
Breathing air is something we do every day all day long. Unfortunately our air is often dirty in a few places, so be mindful of this. You will not want to do deep breath practice waiting on a bustling street looking for the bus. It will be best to do your breathing exercise at home, inside or outside if it happens to be in a place where the air is fresh and clean.
Standing tall and straight. Next, take in a long, slow, soothing breath, filling up the abdomen til you think it could explode. Contain the air for as long as you’re able (do not force it), and then slowly and lightly release it through the mouth. Do 5 to 10 breaths in this way.
You can modify this technique by raising the arms straigt up above your head as you inhale, and gently lower the arms during the exhale.
Oxygenating your body moves oxygen into your bloodstream, which carries it into your cells and tissues to nourish and clean them of toxic waste. Increased oxygen in your body arouses blood flow and circulation of the lymph fluid through your lymphatic system. Both the blood and lymph are central to our body’s detoxification abilities. Deep breathing is a natural lymph detox.
