Allan Anderson, the CA IT Client Manager Vice President of product management stated that this is going to be the first time that a release adds support for desktop management and server virtual machines as part of a comprehensive approach to managing IT assets.

The first step to a hefty transformation of systems management in the IT department is the ability to do inventory and configure virtual machines, Anderson said.

And, as of now, systems management is focused primarily on one thing: the systems itself. But, IT management will be increasingly focused on controlling virtual machines as virtualization keeps on evolving and evolving. Not only virtual machines, but also the dynamic workspace of end users that consistently will be accessing different enterprise applications for a number of devices in any day of the week. The ability to have total control of the workspace of end users is the cornerstone of the joined forces of CA Technologies made with RES Software just recently.

George Jetson Meets the Auto Industry

Every driver has dreamed flying above the gang when they are lodged in rush hour traffic, by the end of next year this dream could be a reality. Today, for only a $10 thousand dollar deposit one can hold a place for your personal Terrafugia Transition, a flying vehicle that will also be street legal. This innovative company has been engaged in the design for the vehicle from back in 2006 and it is finally becoming a positive result.

This airborne automobile, or as it is called by Terrafugia, this road able aircraft delivers thirty mpgs in highway driving, features front wheel drive, and carries two occupants. The storage area has room for many items. The Transition is able to achieve average highway speeds while still being capable of fitting in a normal garage and parking space if its wings are folded. If you want to fly merely activate the button in the drivers area and extend the autos wings. Then all that is required is a mere third of a mile of straight pavement to takeoff. Technically you do need to take flight and land at a legal airport so air traffic can be controlled. But who knows how that will change in the future?

With a 400 mile range and a cruising velocity of 115 mph in the air, the Transition will be perfect for the long family trip. According to Terrafugia the Transition is ideal for jaunts from 1 hundred to 400 miles. A driver only needs a drivers license and a Light Sports Aircraft license to work the vehicle. This pilots permit only requires twenty hours of flight time and only five of those must be solo. Owners can even get the flight permit through Terrafugia.

The Transitions safety features abide by all government auto safety measures imposed by the NHTSA. It includes crumple zones, airbags and other safety features necessary to make the motorcar street legal. Additional safety features abide by Federal Aviation Administration ordinances.

The Terrafugial Transition is prepared to make its launching at the end of 2011.

High Spec Notebook Computers Officially Mass Market

In my view gaming notebooks have lost their once sustained niche title. I remember when they were not so available. For sure they were hardly manufactured in large volumes but resellers did gain a lot of cash on them. I am pretty certain everyone would have liked to have had one but could not seriously justify it. If you a power user they were just the best laptop computers you could purchase. Despite the buzz caused I do not believe they were great sellers because I do not believe purchasers would buy laptop computers in place of desktop computers as they were so expensive. As more established brands see the revenues in the gaming notebook sector, things looks to have changed.

Bringing their well known names into the sector would possibly afford them to charge even more. These companies have possibly been losing a bit of cash on standard units so this should be a welcomed opportunity. Local companies cannot compete with them in persuading potential purchasers to buy laptop computers. This is a colossal threat to smaller niche retailers. Now gaming laptops will no longer be considered a niche sector. Customers just feel tons more confident making a massive purchase from a brand name.

The laptop computers being launched by branded manufacturers are all competing for the best laptop crown. I predict that small companies may yet have an opportunity. People like the service to customise as they can specify what’s most desirable to them. These types of purchasers usually are well informed on the technology and would compare part for part. For people of this type, how well it performs can be of greater importance than how the styling is.

All consumers concur that it is a good development. The latest technology will be available to the majority when prices are pushed further down. Even though that’s my view on it, its just my point of view and most likely not what will take place. Whether laptop prices will drop on the whole is an additional subject but the best laptop computers are traditionally expensive. As the gaming notebook market gets over crowded with multinational brands, many will apply a wait and see approach.

What Direction Are Laptops Headed In

The notebook computer market has gone from strength to strength in recent times. It seems like the demand is outstripping the supply as manufacturers are struggling to meet deadlines for shipments. In fact if anything has held back demand or sales of laptops then its been shortages of components. Also with laptop computers now it seems like every 6 months or so the technology is already replaced with something different.

Gaming laptops are one of the areas that have seen growth. These laptop computers are also in value because of the fierce competition faced from value laptops. I think laptops are a good choice for gaming on. Maybe not exactly for the hardcore but they’re excellent for the large number of us. I also think that a few gaming laptops look really funky, with some slick, aggressive features. Despite the fact gaming laptops have come a long way in numerous aspects, in terms of sheer speed they still cannot compete with desktops. Gaming laptops are the benchmark of performance for the notebook computer trade and it will be good to see how the forthcoming technology performs.

Power portables are generally custom built to the customers spec. Sometimes with larger brands the quality of the core components is not that great. In my mind being able to specify the cpu, memory and storage is ideally catered for the more extreme users out there. The large amount of laptops are made for the average consumer which means you may not find what you’re searching for. Custom laptops provide a fix to this. I think you also get better customer care when buying a custom notebooks. This would be a major seducer to some niche groups.

We’re witnessing some fairly awesome things at the minute and I’m curious what will hit the market next. Apart from what has already been mentioned Ultra mobile laptops are a further massive niche witnessing growth this year. I did not think anyone thought they would be a great seller. I think people would prefer to see larger notebooks that weigh a lot less than the current technology. I thing forming an attractive price point is a principal barrier in all this. For sure the technology is present. It would hardly shock me to see ultra mobile gaming laptops in the next 5 years time. What will be released next? Begin activating your imagination.

I’d recommend these if you are after the best gaming laptops.

Read this Article if You Want to Know What a UAV is

You have probably heard of the term UAV, it is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. It is a plane that flies by its self. Think of it as a Remote Control “RC” model airplane only it can be full size. The military has operated “Drones” or aircraft without pilots of almost four decades and many an aircraft has been used in this way as target practice for missile practice.

Today UAVs have so many different shapes and sizes. Some are for combat and some for surveillance. They are not just used in the military either. They can be used to scout fires, track drug traffickers or even survey the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina. The commercial uses are endless and there are endless types of unmanned vehicles today.

There are Unmanned Ground Vehicles UGVs like the ones in the DARPA Grand Challenge when they drove vehicles through the desert with no people in them autonomously, without remote control, fully autonomous. Vehicles like this might prevent soldiers dying from roadside bombs or patrol the US Borders, Power Plants or Military installations.

Then there are also AUV or Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, like submarines with no people. Some look like mini submersibles, some like small submarines and even some look like fish or sharks? Pretty cool, you will certainly wish to search this and learn all you can about AUVs.

Next up is MAV or Micro-Air Vehicles some are very small with wing spans the width of a mere piece of paper and some of these researchers are out to out do Moore’s Law making mini insects that fly and they will be able to fly through debris for earthquake survivors, thru tree branches, windows and maybe even rotating fans. Can you believe it?

This new technologically advanced age of robotics will growing in the future and you owe it to yourself to learn all you can about these rapid advances. Think about it.
